incase that site ever goes down:
- Right-click the "Media" folder.
- Click on "Properties."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Edit the permissions for habitation users and administrators, making sure "Permit" is ticked for all options using the "Edit" push.

First matter I noticed subsequently getting Win 10 was that the audio books I had already downloaded and been listening to, suddenly had this weird audio popping up like when someone is too close to the mike and gets a lilliputian bit of feedback. I can still heed simply that is annoying. Adjacent thing I noticed was that everything was shown half-size in the pictures and print--trying to use the page for getting some other book was like trying to read the impress on an aspirin bottle! Adjacent when I got another audio book, information technology downloaded the first section merely kept showing "downloading" for subsequent sections. MS, please set this!--I used it a lot and miss it.

Here's the solution if you're still having this trouble
Don't apply the Overdrive app that comes with Windows 8 or 10
Get to app.overdrive.com. Don't log in. Just roll all the fashion to the bottom by the applications for Windows8 and ten
to the Overdrive for Windows app. This volition download the one-time program the way it used to wait, although its dated December 2016. When information technology asks yous if you lot want to download it as something yous've never seen before, say YES.
It will download the old plan. It looks really funky after all the neat graphics we take in Windows 10, only it works.
My recommendation is that yous still have the OverDrive app that you got from the Windows store, y'all ininstall it to avoid confusion.
Now go to you're Library, check out an audiobook and then go to your checkouts, select download every bit MP3, and it volition download into the erstwhile program. Once it's downloaded the pick to transfer is the same as always. I always select "Advanced" then modify "music" to "audiobooks", and click next. My mp3 thespian has a folder for audiobooks and handles them much better than the music binder.
I hope this helps someone. I was pulling my pilus out over this.
